I've honestly never been more relaxed than I was on my recent trip to GBR. I miss it heaps and I'll definitely go back again soon! I'd love to visit the extremes of the reef like Fraser Island or Carins, but the set of islands we went to, Whitsunday Islands, was pretty amazing. Despite almost doing more physical travelling than actually enjoying the reef, I wouldn't have changed anything. I loved the 5 hour bus ride from Townsville to Airlie Beach and living in hostels and not washing our hair for 2 whole days. It was gross, but it's the amalgamation of those little small things that really made the trip super unique. Not to mention the way we'd stay up to talk about whatever or getting grumpy with each other and then finding something so weird to laugh at and be besties again. I loved how we went in a group of 4 and I'm so glad it was us four specifically who went. It really wouldn't have been the same :)
